Penrose Press Penrose Press realizes that privacy is important. This document
outlines the types of information we receive and collect; and how we use it.
We hope this will help you make an informed decision about using our products.
Many services, such as the International Directory of Design,
provided by Penrose Press that do not require you to register for an account
or provide any personal information to us.
Personal Information. Some services, such as our newletters
require you to register your subscription. When you sign up for a service that
requires registration, Penrose Press asks for personal information (such as
your name, email address and an account password).
Information that Penrose Press collects
- Penrose Press collects personal information when you register to recieve a newsletter
by e-mail or post.
Users voluntarily provide this information. Penrose Press may combine this personal
information with information from third parties or independent Penrose Press
research.
- Penrose Press collects professional information for publication its
directories. The type of organizations that Penrose Press collect information about are
associations, centers, colleges, conferences, events, festivals, institutes,
journals, libraries, magazines, museums, organizations, periodicals, search
engines, schools, societies, symposia, universities and Penrose Pressb-zines.
- Penrose Press collects business information when you buy advertising
and other commercial products on our site. Customers voluntarily provide this
information so that their orders may be fullilled.
- Penrose Press's servers automatically record log information when you visit our
Penrose Press site or use some of our products, including the URL, IP address, browser
type and language, and the date and time of your request.
- Penrose Press does not use cookies and other similar technologies to track
your usage of our site.
Uses of this information
- Penrose Press may publish professional information in its
International Directory of Design and other products.
- Penrose Press may use personal information & business information
for auditing, research & analysis to operate and improve our products & services.
- When Penrose Press use third parties to assist us in processing any of the
aforementioned information, Penrose Press will require that they comply with
our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
Credit information - For certain services, such as our advertising
programs, Penrose Press also requests credit card or other payment account
information which Penrose Press maintain in encrypted form on secure servers.
Penrose Press may combine the information you submit under your account with
information from other Penrose Press services or third parties in order to
provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services.
For certain services, Penrose Press may give you the opportunity to opt out of
combining such information.
Log information - When you use Penrose Press services, our servers
automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a
Penrose Press site. These server logs may include information such as your
webpage request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language,
the date and time of your request and other information.
User communications - When you send email or other communication to
Penrose Press, Penrose Press may retain those communications in order to process
your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
Links - Penrose Press may present links in a format that enables us
to keep track of whether these links have been followed. Penrose Press use this
information to improve the quality of our search technology, customized content
and advertising.
Other sites - This Privacy Policy applies to Penrose Press sites and
services that are owned and operated by Penrose Press. Penrose Press do not
exercise any control over the sites displayed as search results or links from
within our various services. These other sites may place their own cookies or

Information sharing
Penrose Press only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Penrose Press in the following limited circumstances:
- When Penrose Press have your consent. Penrose Press require opt-in consent

- When Penrose Press have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or

- To enforce an applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential

related issues.

Press, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
- Penrose Press may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated,
non-personal information, such as the number of users who searched for a particular
term, for example, or how many users clicked on a particular advertisement.
Changes to this policy
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Penrose Press
will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent, and
Penrose Press expecst most such changes will be minor. Regardless, Penrose Press
will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant,
Penrose Press will provide a more prominent notice. Each version of this Policy
will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date.
